Happy National Coffee Day!
Hello, everyone! Jillian here. It's that time again, time for the Coffee Lovers blog hop for National Coffee Day! I'm so excited to be participating once again.
To visit the main blog, start here:
Here's what Lisa created for today!
"I had this idea to use the bee from the Bee Kind stamp and die combo and build my sentiment using the Mini Headline Type Alpha dies. I added honeycomb to my mug from Hug In A Mug using the stencil. Just a couple daisies and leaves and I popped up everything over the background with the fab Weathered Wood stamp"
Since it has been a challenging year for us medically, we are throwing it back to a few of our favorite fall coffee creations!
Today, I've created a slimline card honoring everyone's favorite time of year... Pumpkin Spice Season! I know we all look forward to the time when our favorite coffee shops break out the PSLs and the leaves start changing! I decided to play around with using Hootie The Owl, peeking out from the mug, and accented him with some Elizabeth Crafts Glitter (which I absolutely LOVE) in the color Saffron. I also accented it with some pumpkins on either side and a sentiment from the Hug in A Mug 6 x 8 Stamp Set! You can view a whole list of what I used down below. Our talented design team member Lisa figured out that layering our Stitched Plaid Slimline die can create an adorable effect, so I took some yellow and green paper to create a layered effect.

Welcome! Bunny here, this was a fun card to create! Plus don't you just LOVE Hootie!
The Slimline Essentials Backdrop Die Set makes a great base for the Slimline card. Layer the Slimline Stitched Plaid Cover Plate under the Slimline Peace, Love & Rainbows Slimline Circle Window Cover Plate so that plaid peeks through! Add Mr. Hootie and Ms. Hootie with their coffee cups which is included in the Hootie the Owl Die Set. The sentiment is from OWL Occasions Stamp Set!
For this fun card, I started with the Basic Rectangle Backdrop in orange and layered a Stitched Rectangle Backdrop in white, under a Signature Polka Dot Cover Plate die cut. Then added the Mug from Hug in a Mug in Orange and black, using the Pumpkin Face from Perfect Pumpkin Die Set to create that cute little Jack'O Lantern face. The Steam cut in Vellum is from Hug in a Mug Die Set as well. Added a couple of leaves from that same set. The letters Coffee are Mini Headline Type as well as the So Many Sentiments Strip in Black as the base for the word Coffee.
Added You Make me Smile from Pumpkin Spice stamp set on another So Many Sentiments Strip and it is done!
