happy fall... ya'll

Hey there!   Rosemary here with yes... another fall card!  For this card I used the new Headline Type Alphabet die set, the Rustic Wood Slice die and an image from the new Autumn Pumpkin stamp set.   The happy comes from the Hello, Fall stamp set.   This is one of those cards that actually turned out pretty close to what I had envisioned when I came up with the idea.   I love it when that happens!

I started by die cutting the Rustic Wood Slice from some off white cardstock.  One of things about this die is that the outer bark portion is separate from the inner wood portion.  This allowed me to die cut another slice and adhered the two wood parts together to give the slice a little more heft.   After cutting the slices I inked up the bark and top wood slice with distress oxide inks in vintage photo and gathered twigs.   Additional off white cardstock was die cut with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die and then I adhered the bark portion to the panel with AJVD's Just Glue It adhesive.  Once that was set I adhered the inner wood slice to the panel with foam tape.   All the letters were die cut from patterned paper from the Carta Bella Fall Market 6x6 pad.  I actually cut the letters from two different papers because I was going to alternate the patterns, but in the end went with the pattern you see so I adhered the other set behind the first to give them a little more heft.  The letters were then popped up on the wood slice with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Acorn ink, trimmed it out and then covered it with a lot of Wink of Stella clear ink.   The acorn image was stamped on the off white paper I used for the wood slice with the Acorn ink and then colored with my Polychromos color pencils.   I trimmed it out and liberally covered it with clear Wink of Stella.   I like that you can see the sparkle in the photo.  I then adhered the image with Just Glue It adhesive down at the bottom of the acorns so that I could tuck the leaves in around the two ls.   The entire panel was then adhered to a kraft cardstock base.
