Hi there it's Tracey here today with another card using the newly released Cozy Cottage Birdhouse and Sweet Gingerbread Add On die sets.
I started by die cutting my rectangle background frame from patterned paper using the largest die in the Stitched Dot Rectangle Backdrop die set. Then I cut two snowbanks using the stitched snowbank from the Sweet Gingerbread Add On die set. I overlapped the snowbanks and glued them together and then I ran them through with the Stitched Dot Rectangle Backdrop once again so everything matched. Using lots of Christmas patterned papers I die cut almost all the elements for my gingerbread house and put the scene together on my background.
Next I die cut the gingerbread once with kraft cardstock and once with white cardstock. I die cut the face on the kraft cardstock gingerbread and then glued the kraft gingerbread to the white gingerbread so there was white showing anywhere the die cut right through. The last step was to blend Tea Dye Distress Ink all over the gingerbread to look a little more baked. The gingerbread was adhered with foam tape.
QUICK TIP: I die cut the face on the gingerbread from behind so there would be no mark from the die on the front of him.
The final step was to emboss the sentiment in gold across the bottom of the card. I used Tis the Season from the Shine Bright stamp set.
Thanks so much for joining me today and we'll see you next time!
