Hi, Lisa Lara here today sharing how you can make
Baby Favors
(for showers, birthday parties and baby announcements to pass out at the office etc).
using the new Simply Said Baby stamp set.
I'm using a couple of the latest trends with these baby favors.
First up gold! Gold accents are everywhere in the craft world and oh how elegant it looks on white wrapped around these gold Hershey Nuggets.
And the chalkboard trend.
I was just at the craft store and they have chalkboard stuff everywhere. So I wrapped these Hershey miniatures in black paper that I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.
I am submitting my chalkboard Baby Announcement Favors
in the latest Addicted To CAS Challenge #62
Below I have a tutorial, showing how I made the nugget wraps.
The Hershey miniatures were done basically the same way except I used a 1 3/8 x 3" piece of black cardstock.
I started with a 1 1/8 x 3" piece of light weight white cardstock (mine is 80#)
I prepared it for heat embossing by wiping it with an anti-static pouch (this keeps the embossing powder from sticking where I don't want it to).I stamped my cute little sentiment from Simply Said Baby with VersaMark ink pad.
I sprinkled gold embossing powder over my stamped sentiment.
I shook off the excess embossing powder.
Here is what it looks like after I heated the embossing powder with the heat gun.
I placed score tape on the back at the ends a the middle. I first line it up and adhere in the center.
Next, I wrap it around and adhere on end at a time.
Voila!
