Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Kecia Waters on this Monday, sharing a thank you card that would be perfect to give to that special teacher. I'm thinking a Starbucks Gift Card tucked inside would be sure to bring a smile.
This card features the stamp set designed by Lisa Lara Originals, "Teacher, Teacher". To make this card, I stamped the latte image onto X-Press it cardstock, a piece of patterned paper from My Mind's Eye, and kraft cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I paper pieced the latte cup together, running the kraft piece through my paper crimper. I stamped the greeting "Thanks A Latte", also from "Teacher, Teacher" onto the cup.
On a piece of kraft cardstock, I drew a straight line with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker near the bottom. I colored below the line with Copic markers, adding a shadow for the cup. I adhered the cup into the scene and drew stem coming from the cup opening with the Memento Tuxedo Black marker.
I framed the kraft with black cardstock, and placed onto a panel of patterned paper from My Mind's Eye. This was also framed with black cardstock. I cut two flags using a flag from AJVD's "Banner {die}tails Nested Die Set". Wanting to mimic the look on the latte cup, I ran these flags through my paper crimper. Finishing details on this card include buttons and twine.
