Hello friends!! Rosemary here popping with an elegant card that I made using the new A Jillian Vance Design set Simply Noted: Damask. When I saw this beautiful new set I just had to have it. I love the beautiful wide border image and the elegant fonts used for the sentiments.
For this card I wanted to create the look of lace so I found this piece of light pinkish colored paper from the Teresa Collins Nine and Co pad that would be perfect for creating the look I wanted. I trimmed down the paper to fit my white cardstock panel and then stamped the border image using VersaMark watermark ink. (The first time I stamped the image I forgot to use my little embossing buddy and embossing powder stuck to everything! Lesson learned, lol!) I applied gold embossing powder, heat set it and then trimmed it out. I wanted to have a border along the bottom of my cardstock panel, but not the full image so I carefully lined up the stamp with the bottom to get the placement I wanted. Additional gold embossing powder was used to emboss that border. The sentiment was positioned in the center and stamped in black ink. I adhered the border piece using fun foam instead of foam dimensionals to give the border piece a firmer backing. The finished panel was mounted on pink cardstock. I love how it turned out! Can't wait to get my hands on a few more Simply Noted set... all of them are gorgeous!
