tis' the season...

Hello friends!  Did you see that Jillian has a new release?!  Lots of wonderful new dies for you to create with in this release.   I have created a slimlime card using the new Slimline Tallest Tree die and the Mini Slimline Tall Trees die set.   The sentiment is from the Just BeCLAUS stamp set.

I have not been into creating mixed media projects, but lately I have been a little fascinated with Tim Holtz' grit and crackle pastes.  More specifically the holiday versions.  I was able to get my hands on the set of Snowfall grit paste and Icicle crackle paste and when I pulled out the tree dies I just had to use both products on my card.   You can't really see where I used the crackle paste on the card, but in real life it adds a little bit of fun to the card.  I have some very old Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas patterned paper that I just love.  It is almost gone, but I had enough to crate my card.   I found the green patterned piece that allowed me to be able to die cut the two taller trees and then the plaid for the smallest.  I also cut additional trees to layer behind to give them more stability.  Then I added the Snowfall grit paste to my trees and let them dry.  I die cut the smaller slimline rectangle and added a little bit the Icicle crackle paste to the top of the rectangle after I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using pewter embossing powder.  I die cut olive cardstock with the largest slimline rectangle die and then applied some Frayed Burlap distress oxide ink to the edges to mute the olive color.  Once the trees were dry I layered up all my elements.  I had these fun glitter stars and I added those to the tops of the trees.  Look for me to be creating with these tree dies in the near future!

This just might be the prettiest slimline Christmas card I've seen! Love the tall trees and your mix of patterns. Fabulous card, Rosemary!
