on your wedding day...

Hello everyone!  Rosemary here today and I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that May is almost over, my youngest turns 15 in just a few weeks and I have two nieces graduating from high school!  Where does the time go?  I also have a niece getting married in July and with that in mind I decided to make a wedding themed card using the Mini Slim Backdrop die set along with the butterfly image from the Hug in a Mug stamp set.  I don't know if you heard the big news, but the Hug in a Mug stamp set now has matching dies... WHOO HOO!

A few weeks ago I received a free pad of patterned papers from a company I had not heard of called P13.  The company is from Poland and the papers in the pad are absolutely gorgeous.   There are several sheets that have beautiful wreaths of different sizes and I decided to see if I could die cut one with one of the smaller dies from the  Stitched Dot In and Out Circle die set.   I found one that worked perfectly and cut it from the paper.   I found a paper to work with the wreath image and stamped the butterfly using Antique Linen distress ink.  I had to stamp it several times to darken up the image a bit.  I then die cut the butterfly with the matching die.  I cut the butterfly a few more times from scraps and layered those behind the stamped one to give it some dimension.  I adhered the butterfly to the center of the wreath and then brushed it with Star Dust Stickles for some sparkle.  I die cut the largest Mini Slim Backdrop rectangle from off white cardstock and then a partial piece of the same paper I used for the butterfly.  The two were then adhered together and I stamped the sentiment from Have Faith using Memento Pistachio ink.   I wrapped some gold twine around the panel, taped it to the back and then adhered the panel with foam tape to my light yellow card base.  Added the wreath element and I was done.  I used the layout from the Paper Players so I will be posting this in their gallery.  Many thanks to the Paper Players for giving me some great inspiration these last two weeks!  Going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, too.

A Stripey Stitched Rainbow

Welcome back!  Sharing a rainbow background I made using the Sentiment Strips!  I started by cutting a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" panel.  Then I cut some strips in the colors I wanted to use for my rainbow.  I cut all of the different sized strips out of each color and actually made two panels (you'll see what I did with the second one next week!)  I adhered the strips to the base in the pattern I wanted making sure to change up the wide and thin strips.

Once the panel was covered I used the Stitched Dot Rectangle die to cut the base of my card.  Then I cut the pieces from the Delightful Daisy Jr. die set and popped the flower up on the front of the card.  Next I cut the hello die from white cardstock three times and stacked them together.

I added the Hello and a few sequins and I was done!

I had a lot of fun with this one and am loving these strips.  Come back next Monday for more!

Thanks for coming and I hope you enjoyed it!

Playing with Brutus Monroe Glitter Glazes - Tuesday Night Live 5/18/21

Hi everyone! I hope you're doing well today. I am so excited to share with you last night's Tuesday Night Live! This was the last live in a while, since summer is coming up and we know you're all busy! We've decided to just do videos periodically, that way you can watch on your own time.

However, we had so much fun talking about Brutus Monroe! Again, the store is 100% worth a trip. So aesthetically pleasing, with a bunch of amazing products! I mostly played with the glitter glazes, which you can find here! They are so much fun and very affordable. Yes, I made a bit of a mess, but it was so fun! Here are some of the backgrounds I created, and you can watch the whole thing below! I absolutely love the duality of using cover plates as stencils, and so I always love showing that!

celebrate your story...

Hello everyone!  Rosemary here with a clean and simple design that I created with the Dear Daisy stamp set and a little bit of an unusual color combo.  I just love that stamp set!

A few weeks ago I saw a project that was colored using four shades of blue-green Copic makers and was absolutely captivated with it.  So I picked up those markers and used them to color my daisy after stamping it in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Once I was done coloring the image I die cut it with the matching die.  I flipped through my collection of AJVD cover plate dies and settled on the Signature Polka Dot cover plate.  I die cut white cardstock and then randomly removed some of the dots.   I die cut light gray using the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die and adhered it to the back of the Signature Polka Dot cover plate.   To create dimension with the flower I die cut white cardstock multiple times using the matching die and then adhered them behind the colored flower.  That was then adhered to the card front.  I die cut vellum using a Sentiment Strips die and then stamped the sentiment from the Eternal Spring stamp set on the strip.  That was trimmed down and adhered to the card.  The theme at the Paper Players challenge is clean and simple with polka dots so I will be adding the card to their gallery.  Going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge since I used dies on this card.

Celebrate A Beautiful Butterfly

Welcome back!  You may or may not be tired of my Gel Press playing, but I hope not!  This time I used the Dear daisy stamp set to make some imprints and I love the subtle look they have peeking out of the background.

I cut the Beautiful Butterfly from some print rejects.. this one was purple and pink but mostly purple so I tied it in with a very thin border around the base in purple.  I cut it from white as well for a two layer effect... instead of gluing them together completely like I usually do when I want some dimension, I left the wings unattached for a cool look of movement.

I used a sentiment from the Make A Wish set that was cut out on a Scan N Cut.  I like to stamp a bunch and have them all cut out at once so they are ready when I want them.  This one was the perfect color!

That's me for today! Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!
