Happy Bird-day!

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Rosemary here with a clean and simple card using the new Tweet Bird Cage die set, along with the New Nest stamp set.   I used dies from two other AJVD die sets, as well.

Not gonna lie, but once again I was in a time crunch to get a card made for this week's post.  I wanted to use the Tweet Bird Cage die set so I decided to just use the two little birds that come in the set for my card.   While I wanted to go clean and simple I didn't want to do a mostly white card so I decided to start with a panel of light blue cardstock and go from their.  I have some patterned paper that is designed to look like paint chips from the hardware store with the sections of colors going from light to dark.   The pad had sheets of blues that worked well with the light blue cardstock so I die cut the birds from the second lightest color and the wings from the lightest.   I used the tree branch from the Spring Birdie die set and cut that from a creamy white patterned paper that has a subtle grid pattern on it.   The flowers and leaves were die cut from papers from the same pad that the blue paper came from.  I used the leafy image from the Spring Birdies set for the leaves and the Mini Spring Mix dies for the flowers.   I had to cut my sentiment apart (something I don't really like to do) in order to stack it the way I did and then stamped it in a very light blue.   I'm going to add this to the following challenges:  The Paper Players (clean and simple birthday) and Sunday Stamps (colors - I went a bit softer in my tones).

So sweet! Bluebirds are my favorites and they are adorable on the cute branch! Great idea to use an ombre paper for the bird parts; it keeps everything coordinating perfectly! Thanks for sharing at The Paper Players!
