Hello and happy Wednesday everyone! Rosemary here with a merry and bright card to share today. I used one of the Holiday Scripty Greetings dies for my card, but I didn't die cut with it! Check out my card to see what I did:
I love hot foiling and I love hot foiling with items that aren't generally used to foil with... the cutting dies you have in your stash! The Holiday Scripty Greetings dies are perfect for this technique especially given that these dies have layering dies. I used some bright yellow foil for the sentiment, but it is hard to tell it is yellow in the photo. I die cut the Holly & Swirls main die from a bright green glitter cardstock, white scrap cardstock and adhered the two together. I did this to give the die cut a bit more substance. One of the holly leaves was trimmed off and then I adhered the holly die cut and the sentiment together as you see. White cardstock was die cut with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die and then I embossed the sentiment from the Just beCLAUS stamp set with a light green embossing powder. Since the foiled sentiment is more subtle I wanted the secondary sentiment to be subtle, as well. Below is a close up photo of the foiled sentiment.
In this photo you can see the yellow color a little better. I'm super happy with how the foiling turned out! If you have a hot foiling system give foiling with your cutting dies a try!
