Owl You Need is Coffee!

Happy Monday!  Lisa here and today I'm sharing a card with Hootie The Owl and a background made using the Leaves and Petals die set!

I started by cutting three 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" sized pieces of cardstock.  I attached the same sized sheet of double sided adhesive to two of them.  I cut the leaves from the panels with adhesive on them.  Then I attached the leaves in a random pattern to the third white panel making sure they were approximately the same distance apart and that some of the leaves were hanging off of the edge of the panel.  Then I used the largest stitched rectangle die to cut a panel from the panel with white leaves adhered to it.

I ink blended orange,  yellow and pink over the whole panel... I love the cool embossed look and with the stitching it gave just that little bit of extra.

I added that panel to a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" orange panel and then cut a frame from the same orange and popped it up.  Then I assembled my Hootie using some thin foam tape... I love the little bit of added dimension it gives.  I popped him up in the corner.

Finally, I used a strip from one of the dies in the Slimline Essentials set for that cute sentiment from the Owl Occasions stamp set.  A few sequins and done!

That's me for today!  Hope you'll come again soon for some more A Jillian Vance Design inspiration.
