Happy Halloween

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Rosemary here today and I am sharing a Halloween card today.  I have used the Perfect Pumpkin die set many times, but I have never used the little jack-o-lantern face.  That changes today!  I also used the Weather Wood background stamp and the sentiment is from the Happy Halloween stamp set.

The pumpkin had actually been die cut weeks ago when I thought I was going to make a different card.  I put the pumpkin aside when my idea didn't come to pass.  I used the sketch from the Paper Players challenge for my card so I will be posting it there.   I liked the patterned paper I used for the pumpkin, but decided to deepen the color with distress oxide ink in Rusty Hinge.  I die cut the face and then inked that with Black Soot distress oxide ink to dull down the color before adding it to the pumpkin.   The woodgrain was stamped on off white cardstock with Antique Linen distress ink and then I die cut the rectangles with the second smallest Stitched Dot rectangle die.  The edges were then inked with Brushed Corduroy distress oxide ink.  I used the largest die from the plain rectangle backdrop die set to cut kraft cardstock and then arranged the smaller rectangles on the panel so I could determine where to place the sentiment.  I then stamped the sentiment with VersaFine CLAIR Acorn ink.  The small rectangles were adhered with foam tape and then I added the pumpkin to the center panel.  I die cut leaves from the same paper used for the pumpkin and from some red patterned paper.  The leaves were inked with Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick and some Brushed Corduroy distress oxide inks.  The leaves were then adhered and I was done.

One of my favorite cards, Rosemary! Love the design & the paper & the colors & everything! This would make a gorgeous Fall card for any occasion leaving off the face pieces. Need to case this one!
