Thankful for you...

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone!  Rosemary here with a fall inspired card.  Prior to getting all the fabulous slimline dies released by A Jillian Vance Design I had gotten some other new products.  Today I'm using one of those new products a die set called Classic Candle die set.   This set is designed as a Christmas/holiday set, but I knew it would work well for an autumn themed card, as well.  I paired it up with one of my favorite AJVD die sets:  Leaves & Petals.

I started off my card by ink blending several different colors of distress oxide inks on some smooth bristol cardstock.  I used Fossilized Amber, Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick, Gathered Twigs, Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed for my inking.  I inked up a section with Gathered Twigs and die cut some leaves from that and then inked up the edges of the leaves with the Fired Brick and some Mustard Seed.  I then inked up some sections with Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed.  Additional leaves were cut from the both sections, as well as the parts of the candle.  I added a little bit of Fired Brick to the flame, as well as to the edges of the leaves.   After putting the candle together I determined the approximate center of an off white panel that I die cut with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die so I could ink that up with the Squeezed Lemonade to create the candle light.   At the bottom of the panel I stamped the sentiment Thankful (from the Autumn Pumpkin stamp set) in VersaFine CLAIR Acorn ink and the for you in CLAIR Nocturne ink.  I don't know if the larger sentiment was design so that the for you fit where I stamped it, but as you can see it is a perfect fit!  I then adhered the candle using foam dimensionals and then adhered the leaves using Just Glue It adhesive.   I finished off the card by adding some yellow Stickles to the candle flame for a bit of sparkle.
