i'll go OWL on a limb for you...

Hello and welcome to July!  July?!  How did that happen?  Rosemary here with a card I made using the new Hootie the Owl die set.  This die set is JAM PACKED full of dies to create all kinds of looks for Hootie!  For my card I decided to go very simple.  I also used the new OWL Occasions stamp set for my sentiment.

I started my card by ink blending the new Speckled Egg distress oxide ink on some smooth bristol cardstock.  I then used a stencil and more Speckled Egg to create a soft cloud background.  I splattered on some water and blotted it off, but you can't see it in the photo.   I then die cut the panel with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die and set it aside.  I die cut all the pieces of Hootie from the various cardstock and put him together.  I then die cut the branch from kraft cardstock using the die from the Spring Birdie set.  The leaves were also cut using a die from Spring Birdie, as well.  I inked the branch with some Gathered Twigs distress oxide ink and then adhered the leaves using Just Glue It adhesive.  I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink and then adhered Hootie and his branch with foam tape.  Can't wait to create another card using Hootie! Hootie also has some friends that you can create with.   Check out the super cute card Shelly created with one of Hootie's friends  You can see it here.
