happy heart day...

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Rosemary here with a fun card for Valentine's day.  I used the newly released Eternal Spring stamp set as well the Happy Hearts set that was released at the end of 2019 and several different die sets.

I just love the large script image from the Eternal Spring stamp set!  It is perfect to use for so many different cards and it covers the entire front of a card!  For today's card I used the emboss/resist and ink blending techniques.  The inks I used are distress oxide inks in Candied Apple, Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar.  I first inked up the script image with watermark ink, stamped it on white cardstock and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.   I blended on the ink and then buffed off the ink from the embossing to really make it pop.  The piece was then die cut with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die and a medium sized plain circle die.  I adhered the main part of the panel on the card front and then popped up the circle with foam tape.  The heart from the Happy Heart set was also embossed in white and then I ink blended it with Spun Sugar.   The heart was then die cut with a heart from the Stitched Dot Hearts die set that matches it perfectly.   Some baby blue Nuvo Crystal Drops were added to the petals and clear Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flower centers.  When everything was dry I adhered the heart with foam tape.  Vellum was die cut with the fishtail banner from the Stitched Sentiment Quartet die set, stamped with the sentiment in watermark ink and then heat set with white embossing powder.   I adhered the banner with rolled up glue dots hidden behind the words happy and day.  I used the lovely color combo from Sunday Stamps so I will be posting this in their gallery.  Also going to post this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge as it is a perfect fit!
