Hello all! Lisa here and today I'm sharing a card using that adorable Spring Birdie Die (surprised?)...lol! And of course he's made a nest in the beautiful cup from the Coffee, Tea and Me dies (surprised again?):
I knew eventually this little tweetie would need to make a nest in this cup! It is after all one of my favorite cups in my stash and the bird is the perfect size for it! Also, are you #madforplaid ?? I am, and when I discovered this Stitched Plaid Cover Plate in the shop I knew I had to have it! Perfect to make a shaker from it if you'd like... and I liked... so I did!
To create the shaker I simply cut the Plaid die from some white card stock and cut a piece of acetate to fit over the frame and adhered it to the back of the plaid die cut. Then I added thin foam tape around the outer edges of the plaid/acetage layer. I cut my design paper to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4"; added a bunch of iridescent sequins to the center of the design paper; and popped the plaid layer over the top. Then I built my scene over the entire backdrop.
I chose again to cut all of my birdie and accessories die cuts from Copic friendly paper and color them in with my Copic Markers. I decided the birdie would be a robin this time... after all.. Spring is right around the corner!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed your visit and come again soon!
