Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a safe and fun celebration. Rosemary here with a card celebrating the new year and it features lots of sparkle! I just couldn't put down the glitter paper, lol! My card also has more of a Christmas feel because I used another one of my favorite AJVD dies sets, Poinsettia die set. (I just checked and this die set is in the sale category and you can pick up this die set at 75% off!). I also used a sentiment from the Christmas Blessings stamp set and the Headline Numbers die set.
Once, again, my card was inspired by another card that I saw on Instagram. The card also used a poinsettia die, but had way more die cuts on it. I was being a little lazy and I also didn't want to use up all the red and green glitter paper that I had to make the card so I die cut a smaller under of flowers and leaves. I arranged all the flowers and leaves and adhered everything with either foam tape or Just Glue It adhesive. Once I had all the flowers adhered I added the 2020 that I had die cut from white glitter paper and the sentiment from the Christmas Blessings set that was heat embossed in white on vellum. I used one of the dies from the Sentiment Strips 2.0 die set to cut the sentiment and then adhered it with Just Glue It adhesive and a rolled up glue dot. If you want a really great Christmas sentiment set you really should purchase the Christmas Blessings set. Over the last couple of years it has been my go to set for adding sentiments to the inside of my Christmas cards because it is just full of wonderful sentiments! Adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of something new. The Headline Numbers die set is new and my card is for the new year!
