joy and peace...

Merry Christmas everyone!  Rosemary here and I hope that you are having a wonderful time as you gather together with your family and friends to celebrate the true meaning of the season!  Since today is Christmas I have one final Christmas card to share that I made with the Merry Mistletoe dies, Merry KISSmas stamp set and the Stitched Dot Stars die set.  You might want to put your glasses on as it is pretty darn sparkly, lol!

As I was scrolling through my feed on Instagram I came across a photo of a card that had a die cut star layered with delicate die cut stems and leaves.  I just loved the look of all the elements together and decided to create my own version using the largest star from the Stitched Dot Star die set and the mistletoe from the Merry Mistletoe die set.  I also used the little die that creates the berries.  I die cut the star from white glitter cardstock and the mistletoe from a bright green.  The berries from red, of course.  I layered everything on the star and then added a little red twine bow.  I die cut the patterned paper with the largest Stitched Dot Rectangle die and then started second guessing myself.  In the end I decided to stick with the patterned paper as I liked the somewhat unconventional look it brings to the over all design.   The star was adhered to the panel and then I stamped the sentiment in dark red ink that matches the cardstock I used for my card base.
