Good morning! Ardyth here with a fun New Year's card!
I love how the Pinstripes Cover Plates (there's both Horizontal and Vertical available - links below!!) can look like letterboards and I decided to make the most of that.
I started by cutting the Horizontal Cover Plate from black cardstock and I used liquid glue to attach it to a black cardbase.
Then I made a rainbow stripe panel by using my Catherine Pooler Mini ink pads direct to paper. This is faster than ink blending and you get really vibrant coverage (it does use quite a bit of ink though - you will want to make sure you have re-inkers!!). Then I cut all the letters and numbers using the Headline Type Alphabet and Numbers. You could use "Happy New Year" if you don't have the numbers.
To add some glam, I masked each letter, leaving only the bottom 1/4 inch exposed and I put WOW! Embossing ink on that bit, before using Metallic Gold Sparkle embossing powder.
When I had the letters placed onto the 'letterboard' background, I had some extra space, so I looked through my AJVD dies to see what else I could add. These flower centres from the Poinsettia Die set look a little like fireworks! I used a WOW! Embossing pen to add some gold sparkle to the little ends and then scattered them over the card!
