make waves...

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Rosemary here with a fun summer/mermaid themed card that I made using the Sea Shells and Mermaid Tail die set, the Anchors Aweigh die set and the Shell Yeah! stamp set.

Months ago I made several different panels of alcohol ink backgrounds, set them aside for future use and forgot about them.  How many of you do that, too?   Well... as I was thinking about what to make and going through my stuff I found these long forgotten panels and decided to use a couple for my card.  I die cut the mermaid tail from one panel made with alcohol inks in shades of red and purple and then the waves from one that I used blue and green alcohol inks.  I used a light blue cardstock for the background sky and die cut it with the largest die from the Stitched Dot Rectangle die.  I then layered on the waves, fitting the mermaid tail between the two.  Once I was done I stamped the sentiment from the Shell Yeah! set with Catherine Pooler Daydream ink.  The finished panel was then layered on a white cardstock card base.  (Compensated affiliate links used in the body of my blog post.)
