Hello everyone! Rosemary here sharing a "Christmas in July" card! I love Christmas and making Christmas cards, but most of the time don't actually start making Christmas cards until the end of October! But since tomorrow is July 25th and that means Christmas is just 6 months away I thought it would be fun to share a Christmas card. For my card I used the Christmas Blessings and Pine Branches stamp sets along with the Fresh Cut Pines die set.
I started off by die cutting a panel of white cardstock with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die. I then die cut pine branches using both dies from the Fresh Pine die set and dark green cardstock. The largest pine cone was die cut from some kraft colored textured cardstock and removed all the little interior pieces. The pine cone was then die cut from dark brown cardstock and before removing it from the die I covered the back of the cut with washi tape to keep all the little pieces in place. The kraft colored die cut was then adhered on top of the dark brown pine cone. Parts of the pine branches and the pine cone were covered with AJVD Just Glue It adhesive and then sprinkled with Ranger Distress glitter in Clear Rock Candy. Once the glue was set I removed the extra glitter. I stamped one of the pine branches from the Pine Branches set on the white panel with a dark green ink and then layered the two die cut branches and the pine cone on top. The sentiment was stamped in black ink and then to finish off the card I trimmed down some strips paper from the same piece that was used to make the top layer of the pine cone and adhered them as you see to create a frame. The final touch was to add some dark green twine tied in a bow to the pine cone. I'm going to add this to the Visions of Sugar Plums Christmas in July challenge.
