Hi there, it's Tracey back again today! I have been so smitten with rainbows these days and today I created two rainbow cards using one cover plate die!
I started out by sponging a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock with Distress Oxide inks in rainbow order from the bottom left of my panel to the top right. Once my panel was dry I die cut it using the Flower Burst Cover Plate Die and then I cut a second panel of white cardstock to use as a template for my first card. Using the white template I laid it over a white top folding card base and then I glued each of the petals onto it from cut the rainbow panel. I just took my time and worked from the bottom left up to the top right adhering each piece with liquid adhesive. Once I was done I removed my template and put it away with the die for use another time. To finish off the card I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Birthday stamp set in to upper left of the card front in black ink.
After completing the first card the second card was a natural. I first stamped and clear embossed my sentiment in black ink from the Bold Butterfly stamp set in the upper right corner of the rainbow panel. Then I simply added pieces of foam tape to the back of the panel and adhered it to another white top folding card base. This left a small 1/8 th inch border around the panel and the foam tape added some beautiful dimension.
So there you have it, two for the price of one.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
