Birthday Shaker Card

Hello! Rosemary here with a bright and fun shaker birthday card.  After all the snow we had here in the Pacific Northwest last week I am definitely ready for some spring!  As I dreamed about spring my thoughts turned to the fun Dancing Daisy cover die and the Open Daisies die set and how it would be fun to create a shaker card with them.

My color choices for the card were based on the color of A Jillian Vance Design sequins that I wanted to use.  I decided that I would use blue, green and white sequins.  So I looked through all my 6x6 paper pads and found the bright green with polka dot paper and a blue with a gingham print.  I used the Dancing Daisy cover plate die to cut the green polka dot paper.   Then I die cut the open daisies from the blue gingham paper and adhered them over the corresponding daisies.   I die cut some white cardstock with the largest Stitched Dot Rectangle die and then placed it inside my stamping tool.  I laid the daisy frame on top so I could determine where to place my sentiment and then stamped it with black ink.  The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday stamp set.  I adhered some acetate to the back of the daisy, added thin strips of foam adhesive to the white cardstock panel, then filled the center with my sequins and adhered the daisy frame over the top.   Finished the card by adhering the shaker element to a white cardstock base.
