watts up?

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Rosemary here with a fun shaker card that I made using the new Watts Up? stamp set along with the new Light Bulb die set.

Despite the number of steps involved to create the card this actually went together pretty quickly.  I started off by inking up a piece of white cardstock with some distress oxide ink in Squeezed Lemonade.  I then die cut the large light bulb from the center.  I die cut a second light bulb from white cardstock using the outer die and the interior die together to create the window for my shaker.  The bottom of the bulb and the wire inside were die cut from matte silver cardstock.  Once I had all the pieces I started building my shaker.  Initially I wasn't going to use the light bulb that was die cut from the main panel, but I decided that it would look better to have the yellow "light" from the bulb on the inside of the shaker.  I temporary adhered the main panel to my cardstock base and the laid the light bulb into the opening.  The panel was removed and I applied the foam tape around the bottom bulb to create the shaker element.  I die cut the main panel with the large Stitched Dot rectangle die and then added the acetate to the backside.  I inlaid the top bulb into the panel and then stamped the sentiment using CP Black Jack ink.  To finish things off I added the element to the bottom bulb and then filled up the area inside the foam tape with yellow, white and gunmetal gray sequins.  The backing was removed from the foam tape and I carefully adhered the top panel to the card base.
