Happy Wednesday everyone! Rosemary here and I can't believe that Christmas is just a few weeks away! I don't even have my tree completely decorated... yikes! I better get moving. To help get me (and maybe you!) in the holiday spirit I'm sharing a card today that I created with the Christmas Star stamp set and several different A Jillian Vance Design dies.
My starting point for this card was the lovely sentiment that I have used on my card. I realized that it would be super easy to mask off the 'O' in the word and replace it with one of the star images from the set. I had picked up a pad of Christmas paper from Carta Bella from the craft store so I pulled out papers in the traditional red and green as well as a woodgrain piece. I die cut the woodgrain piece with one of the dies from the Art Deco Frame Backdrop die set and then stamped it with a combination of dark green and red. Some dark green paper was die cut with the Stitched Plaid cover plate die. I cut the same die from thin white cardstock twice, adhered all three together and then adhered the piece to a beige cardstock base. I used the Holly & Swirls die to cut the corner pieces from a red plain paper and adhered them to the card front. The sentiment panel was popped up using foam tape. Adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.

Brilliant idea (no pun intended!) to replace the o with a star, Rosemary! Love the papers you used & how you layered everything to make this beautiful card!
