take adventures...

Happy first day of August everyone!   Rosemary here today.  Summer is zipping by isn't it?  I have a card to share today that I think would work well as a graduation card or even as a retirement card.   I used the World Adventure stamp set along with the It's A Tweet World die set.

Because I wanted to make a more masculine card I dug through my 6x6 pads and found this really old Teresa Collins World Traveler pad.  I pulled out a piece that was a collage of maps and used that to die cut the stand for the globe.  I think I cut about 6 stands in total and adhered them all together to give the stand a bit more heft.  I found a piece that was green and stamped the globe lines on it using a light gray ink.  The continents image was stamped in a light green and then I overstamped the sentiment using a black ink and die cut it with the matching die.  The little spindles (I guess that is what you would call them) were die cut from black cardstock.  Using my Stitched Dot rectangle dies (the two largest) I die cut a piece with stamps all over it and adhered that to my card base.  Another rectangle was die cut from kraft cardstock and I adhered all the pieces of the globe to that and then adhered it with foam tape to the card base.

Cool globe, Rosemary! I love the patterns behind it too! Looks like a wonderful set with the birdcage, plus the globe.
