Hello everyone... Happy Tuesday! Helen is here today with a Spring - Tea themed card.
I starting with creating the watercolored washed background using Fiesta Blue CP Ink and and Aquatini CP Ink. These inks are amazing and they react with water beautifully!
I dabbed some of the ink on my craft mat, sprayed with water, and dabbed a watercolor paper in the ink. I sprayed some water directly on the paper, moved it around a little bit, and then I dried it with craft heater. I repeated the steps couple times to get more texture and layers of colors. I liked how they turned out to be soft-marble-ly look backgrounds :)
I trimmed one of these watercolor panel slightly smaller than A2 White Card and I added it on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.
I did the same steps to create these rainbow watercolored washed background using the Catherine Pooler's Ink Pads: Rockin' Red, Tiki Torch, and Fiesta Blue. When I was done creating the layers of colors, I prayed again with some water, let it sit for couple of seconds, and I dabbed the water off with paper towel to get that distress look on them.
I used one of the panel to cut the cup and swirly steam from the Coffee, Tea and Me Die Set. I added them on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.
Then I stamped one of the sentiments from the Spill The Tea Stamp Set with Midnight CP Ink Pad using my Mini MISTI. I finished the card with some natural burlap twine ribbon.
We hope you all can hop along and we would love to see your projects!!!
Thank you for stopping by today!
