elegant star garland

Hello AJVD fans!!!  Wow... Christmas is just a few days away!!  Are you ready??  I think I am, lol!!!   Rosemary here on the blog today with a garland that I made using the Elegant 3D Star die along with the small star die from the Stitched Dot Stars die set.  When I got the Elegant 3D Star die I knew I wanted to make a garland with it.  The one I'm sharing today is pretty simple.
I started by die cutting the star from several sheets of gold glitter cardstock.  I will admit that the first few I die cut didn't cut all the way because I needed a shim.  Once I added the shim my die cutting got much, much easier, lol!  I then die cut the small star from the Stitched Dot Stars die set from silver glitter cardstock.  Once that was done I simply attached the stars to some paper twine that I had in my stash.  That was the hardest part of the whole project, lol!!   Even after trying to smooth the twine out I still had some problems with it so I decided to hang the garland on the little tree I have outside my front door so I could take the pictures.  Below is a close up of the garland.  I love how it turned out!
