You Go Girl Card

Hello and Happy Friday! It's Beth with a grungy card with a classic twist! I'm using the new Grunge Fun stamp set by Susan K. Weckesser, Inc., along with Grandma's Garden Quilt Block die!

Beth Pingry You Go Girl Card

The stamps in this set are fun and allow you to get a little abstract, with the bubble wrap, stitching and hand drawn elements.

To counteract the grunge I used the Grandma's Garden Quilt Blocks, but die cut several different coordinating papers from Graphic 45. For a little more interest I used 3D Foam Squares to adhere them, which provides a little lift and dimension. I lined them up on the edge of the card and fussy cut the overhang. But first, I inked them up nicely with Clearsnap pigment ink.

Here's a close up:

I double matted the card to give it a finished look.

So, you see you can mix styles and create outside of the box!

I'd also like to wish Susan K. Weckesser a very Happy Birthday week!

Thanks for visiting today!
