Two cards, same products~featuring the Antique Sewing Machine Die

Hi, Connie here guest designing with A Jillian Vance Design
for a couple more months.  Excited about that!
I'm creating with the NEW Antique Sewing Machine
Die.
It can be used in more ways than you think.
I did two cards, using the same supplies, and came up with two
totally different cards.

The first card is created in a traditional way, using the die without
manipulating it.

The card background is created with the Ornamental Octogon Stencil
and Distress Oxide ink. I went with blue tones. The Quilting Stitches
Background stamp
is used in randon places. The Antique
Sewing Machine Die
is cut and placed as the focal for the
card front.  The birds are a die cut from the Feathered Friends Die
and added to the card front.  The sentiment words are from the
Sew Blessed Stamp set.  The card is matted and then speckled with
white acrylic paint for a distressed look.

The second card is "thinking outside the box".  Super fun too!
The background is created the same (as listed above) but with
green tones of Distress Oxide inks.  I manipulated the background stamp
and the die.  Let me show you~

1. Using the Quilting Stitches Background stamp on white cardstock,
stamp out and cut in three strips. Take note of the cut, down the
middle of the diamond shape.
2. This one is about 2 1/2" tall. Paint a bird hole and cut a diamond
shape in half, paint, and add to the top of the bird house using
dimensional adhesive. Die cut the heart button for the top of
the bird house roof.

3. Die cut the Antique Sewing Machine and cut off the top of the
machine making an ornate shelf.
4. You are ready to build your card. All the elements are ready.

These cards are about 4" x4" in size.  The perfect size to tuck in a gift
 bag or a small gift.

Thanks for stopping by~
