Classic Candle with a Mixed Media Twist!

Hi, Connie here guest designing for December.  I am
creating with the Classic Candle Die and the Diamond
Plate Stencil.
I kind of put a little mixed media twist
on this one.  So fun to shake it up!!!

I did a simple collage of pictures explaining the process of
creating this Hanukkah card.

1. I took a real long look at the candle die and decided it would make
a great shape for a package.
2. Create a card background using Distress Oxide inks and the Diamond
Plate Stencil.
Cut the packages and bows out of coordinating paper
or mixed media print. Cut the ends off the candle to make a rectangle.
Then round the edges with scissors.
3. Add white acrylic paint to the pine needles, holly leaves, bow and
flower.  Stamp sentiment and snip the end like a flag/banner. I used
the Light of Christmas Stamp set for this.
4. Create the card front with all die cut elements. Speckle with white
and black acrylic paint.  Double mat card front with coordinating cardstock.

Cluster the pine needles and holly under the packages (aka candle). Add
pearls to the bows, flower and holly.

Thanks for stopping by!
