really looking forward to creating with AJVD dies!!!
My first project is vintage inspired card with a little
mixed media added. I will be creating with
Lovely Lantern Die.
I have put together a quick step by step tutorial to show you
how easy this is to create.
1. Cut two Lovely Lanterns from black heavy cardstock
and glue them together.
2. Cut the pine needles, holly, and bow using red and green
cardstock.
3. Take the small flame die from the Classic Candle Die set.
and trace it on yellow cardstock. I adjusted for the die and
cut a full diamond shape.
4. Using the Stitched Dot Rectangle Backdrop Die, cut the card front.
Then take white acrylic paint and smear it (for a lack of
better term) on the edges of the card front (ephemera text and
the die cut pieces). I used my fingers. Works great!
Now for the fun part. Arrange the distressed die cut pieces
and cluster them on the Lovely Lantern. I used dimensional
adhesive to give a lift to some of the die cuts. Rhinestones are
added to the holly leaves. Sentiment is stamped from the
