Bricks in the Wall- Part 1

Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa is checking to be sure the coast is clear before coming to fill the stockings! I created the fireplace by inlaying the bricks back into the outline of the Brick coverplate (I'm getting strong 70's vibes from these colours! lol!) and then I added a holly 'garland' to the sentiment-strip mantel. I used die cut letters to make Santa laugh (and fill in some of that black space!)

The brick coverplate die is a great basic to have in a craft room - it can be used with so many techniques and for pretty much any occasion through the year!

These two cards make a brief appearance in my video and they show even more ways to use the Brick Coverplate!

I coloured 3 pieces of cardstock - one red, one green, one brown/kraft. (tip: used coloured cardstock if you prefer). Then I cut all 3 with the Brick coverplate.

LEFT: I used the red and green outlines to create a kind of plaid, and finished the card with a kraft frame, and a stacked up snowflake using the Medium Stitched Snowflake and the Mini Bold Snowflake.

RIGHT: I used the bricks to build a herringbone pattern.  Then I used some black bricks as one-word sentiment strips. I finished the card with a stamped sentiment and a Mini Bold Snowflake.
