Welcome back! I've got a pretty sunflower for you today! I love the Sweet Sunflower die set! For this one I cut the base twice... once from green and once from yellow. I die cut the main sunflower die twice, once from plain yellow cardstock and once from a lighter yellow that I added polka dots to using the Signature Polka Dot Stencil and some Glitz Glitter Gel.
I offset the backdrop from the sunflower so that rather than an outline it looks like an additional layer of petals. And then alternated the inside petals with the polka dot and plain pieces. I die cut the center of the sunflower and adhered it and when my flower was dry, I cut it in half. Now I have another half sunflower to use on another project!
I popped up the Vintage Frame onto the woodgrain design paper and tucked the half sunflower under it and then tucked the leaf under that. One of my new favorite sets, the Tiny Tags are perfect as embellishments along with some twin and those fabulous vintage style safety pins and done. Just a simple but sunny hello for a friend.
That's me for today! Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!
