Merry & Bright and Inlaid Shakers!

Welcome back!  I'm so excited about this new release and I couldn't wait to share this one with you using the new Christmas Lights Shaker Die Set!

I made the bulbs inlaid!  I die cut a rectangle panel and then lined up the bulbs where I wanted them and ran them through my die cutter.  I lined up two and taped them in place and then lined the small one up next to the large bulb window and ran it through again.

Then I added a piece of clear acetate to the back and foam tape around each of the bulbs... I decided I'd do three separate shakers to make each one a different color.  I also covered the rest of the panel in foam tape for structure for the front panel.  I cut additional bulbs from green, red, and yellow and glued the frame onto the acetate window.  I cut the chain from the Anchors Aweigh set from green and then the base of the bulbs in the same green.

Finally, I flipped the panel over and filled each of the windows with sequins.  Next I removed the protective paper from the popup tape surrounding each bulb separately and one at a time covered each sequin well with a coordinating piece of cardstock that matched the frame.  Finally I removed the the protective layer from the rest of the panel and popped it onto a red sheet of cardstock cut slightly larger than the front panel.

I added a white strip to the bottom and the Alpha dies cut from red glitter over the top with foam tape.  Then I cut the Merry & Bright sentiment from the Holiday Scripty Greetings dies from green foiled cardstock and trimmed off the Merry and glued it carefully to the bottom of the Merry word.  A few clear sequins and done!

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it and you'll come again soon for more New Release inspiration!
