Happy first day of December everyone! I can't believe we are already at the end of the year! Where did the time go?! I have a pretty simple card to share today that combines an older die set and a newer die set along with some a mixed media element.
For my card today I used the older Fresh Cut Pine die set and the recently released Vintage Ornaments die set. The Fresh Cut Pines is a favorite of mine and so I had to try to use it to create at least one Christmas card before the season is over! I die cut the pine branches from dark green cardstock and then covered them with the new Tim Holtz Snowfall grit paste. I love the frosty look it give to the branches. Once that was done I looked through my Christmas patterned papers for something with a bit of a rustic look. I found the background piece and die cut it. I love how it has the little splatters of white on it. I then die cut the ornament from the red snowflake paper that was from the same pad. it is hard to see in the photo, but I also used one of the detail dies to add a star detail to the ornament. I then die cut the topper from silver mirror cardstock and the word noel from the same dark green as the pine branches. I adhered the background to kraft cardstock and the attached the pine branches. The ornament was popped up and then I added the little red bow as a finishing touch. Going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

What a wonderful card! Makes me think I'll have to try that grit paste! Thought you added white to the wood paper! Perfect for this card & love the snowflake paper, too!
WOWEE, I love this Rosemary! Every detail is perfection!
Just love your pine bough with ornament, Rosemary - so realistic with the "snow"!!
