happy fall... y'all!

Hello!  Fall isn't exactly here... yet, but it is definitely feeling like fall here in the Pacific Northwest.  Some wet weather has arrived!  Today I'm sharing a card that I created with the new Bountiful Basket die set and I did a little something extra with the set!  I also used images from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and a sentiment from the Pumpkin Spice stamp set.

The Bountiful Basket die set includes four dies.  The basket, two inserts and the bow.   One of the inserts is an impression plate that allows you to impress the stitched plaid design on the basket.  I used that plate to foil!  Yes... if you have a hot foiling machine (Spellbinders and Crafter's Companion sell them), you can hot foil the stitched plaid on to your basket!   I die cut the basket from a rich yellow cardstock and then hot foiled the stitched plaid design in gold foil.    To create continuity in the design I also used the Stitched Plaid cover plate die for my background.  I cut that from off white cardstock and then adhered it to kraft cardstock that I die cut with the largest Stitched Dot rectangle die.   As I indicated I used floral images from the Hug in a Hug set.  I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  I die cut them with the matching dies.   I then figured out my arrangement for the basket.  The flowers needed a little something so I die cut a small branch from the Budding Branches die set from brown glitter cardstock and added those into my arrangement.  I finished with the bow that I die cut from orange glitter cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Clair Acorn ink and die cut with a sentiment strip die from the Slimline Essentials Backdrop die set.  Look for me to foil additional baskets in the future!  Adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of lots of layers.

Gorgeous fall basket, Rosemary!! The glittery brown bud sprigs add the perfect touch. Just love how the basket has the plaid design. I was just looking at a die the other day and wondering how it would foil - thanks for the inspiration!
