Fun In The Sun Release - Sweet Sunflower

Welcome to the Fun In The Sun Release!  Three new Die sets and three new stamp sets that each coordinate with one of the new die sets!  Today I'm using Sweet Sunflower Die Set along with a couple of other items from the shop to create a card for a wedding I was invited to this month.  I can't make it to the wedding, but I'll be sending this off with a gift to the Happy Couple!

I absolutely LOVE this new stamp and die set.  Today I only used the die because I needed a wedding card, so for my sentiment I turned to the Wedding Wishes stamp set.

I created an alcohol ink background just for this card and was going to add some foil using a new technique, but it didn't quite work out.  The panel I created however was excellent for die cutting.  I cut the sunflower three times and guess what... I made three cards using it.  You'll see the other two later.  I cut it once from the rainbow alcohol inked and foiled panel; once from white glitter paper; and once from gold cardstock.  I cut the background layer for this one from Vellum and then used the gold frame.  Then I used the white glitter full petals and gold back petals.  And for the center that luscious alcohol ink panel.

For the background, I cut the Vintage Flourish Cover Plate from white and layered it over a panel of the gold and both onto a white 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" base and then popped the sunflower onto it.

You may or may not have heard that the Hug In A Mug stamp set now has coordinating dies available.  I had a play with some Toner Ink and stamped the butterfly from the set and then foiled it with rainbow foil and cut it out along with the butterfly trail and added it.

Finally I embossed the sentiment from Wedding Wishes; trimmed it down and added a layer of the rainbow foiled paper under it before popping it up onto the flower.

I die cut almost all of the images from the Hug In A Mug set and you'll be seeing them in future projects but here's a look at how they are cut out with the new dies:

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it and you'll come back again soon for more New Release inspiration!  Thanks for stopping!
