Happy June everyone!
Rosemary here on the blog today with a very simple birthday card design. Since Jillian just released dies to match the Hug in a Mug stamp set I thought I would make another card using one of the images from the set. I used the cute little flower image that sort of looks like it could be a daisy.
I started my card by first stamping the images on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then grabbed a 6x6 pad of patterned paper that has a spring like theme to it and had floral images in it that I could pull colors from. I pulled the pink, yellow and light teal colors from the papers to color my little flowers with Copic markers and the die cut them with the matching dies. I die cut the different papers with various A Jillian Vance Design rectangle dies and layered everything up on my white cardstock base. The layout for my card is based off of the sketch from
Sunday Stamps so I will be posting it in their gallery. I popped up the flowers in the corner and then added some Nuvo Crystal drops in Morning Dew to the flower centers and the little dots around the flowers. The sentiment is from the Celebrate stamp set and was stamped on some patterned paper, die cut with a sentiment strip die from the Slimline Essentials die set and then popped it up on the card front with a strip of the Studio Essentials 3D foam tape. Super simple, but super cute, too... right?!
