Hello and happy last day of March! How did that happen? Time is flying by for sure! Rosemary here and today as my blog title indicates I have Hootie all done up as a bunny for Easter since Easter is just days away! I used the basic Hootie the Owl die set for Hootie and the Hootie the Owl Spring Add-ons die set for all his Easter regalia! The sentiment is from the Welcome Spring stamp set.
I die cut Hootie's body and the bunny ears from white cardstock and his face, wings and eyelids from light gray cardstock to give him the look of a white bunny. I thought about die cutting his beak and little feet from pink like I did for the insides of his bunny ears, but went with a light yellow instead. I assembled Hootie and then die cut all the rest of the pieces. Of course you have to have a chocolate bunny and eggs for his basket so I cut those along with a little pink bow for the chocolate bunny. I filled his little basket with the chocolate bunny one egg and some grass. When I put Hootie together I arranged one of his wings so it looked like he was holding the basket and you can sort of see that in the photo. Everything was adhered to the cloud background patterned paper that was die cut with the largest Basic Rectangle Backdrop die to give me the most room. I then stamped the sentiment on the card using black ink. The sentiment actually says Happy Easter Eggs, but I just wanted the Happy Easter so I simply masked off the Eggs part with a piece of Sticky Note tape, inked up the rest of the sentiment, removed the tape and stamped. I just love how my little Hootie the Bunny turned out! Going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Easter!
