I {heart} you...

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone!   Rosemary here with a sparkly Valentine.  I used the newly re-released Art Deco back drop die set.   I really loved this die set and I'm so glad it is back!  There are so many dies in the set providing endless creative opportunities!  I also used the new Stitched Dot Hearts die set and the Happy Hearts stamp set.

The starting point for this card was the current challenge over at the Paper Players.  They have a tic tac toe board this week and I went with the middle row of red, embossing and sparkle.   I die cut the outer large die from the Art Deco die set from sparkly cardstock, as well as thin white cardstock.  I used spray adhesive to adhere all three together.  I then die cut white cardstock with the largest die from the Rectangle back drop die set and adhered the Art Deco frame to it.  I used one of the smaller dies from the Art Deco set to cut the center piece from red cardstock and then several more times from thin white cardstock.  Everything was adhered together and then added to the center of the sparkly frame.  I stamped the heart image on watercolor cardstock using watermark ink, applied white embossing powder and heat set.  The heart was watercolored in an ombre fashion with red watercolor.  Once the image was dried I die cut it with one of the hearts from the Stitched Dot Hearts die set that coordinated perfectly.   I die cut additional hearts from thin white cardstock and adhered them behind the watercolor heart.  The heart was adhered to the center of the red panel.  I finished off the card by embossing the sentiment in red embossing powder and die cutting with a banner die from the Stitched Sentiment Quartet die set.  I adhered the banner and then added some Nuvo Crystal drops in Morning Dew to the card.  Going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, too.
