Season's Greetings and a Color Burst Poinsettia

Welcome back!  I've got some watercolored die cuts for you today!  I used some Ken Oliver Color Bursts to color the poinsettia and pine needles and I love the look!

I cut the die cuts from watercolor paper and then sprinkled some of the Color Burst powder onto them and sprayed them with water.  I moved some of the color around a bit using a Ranger Alcohol Ink Blower and then dried them with a heat gun.  If I needed a little extra color I just sprinkled a bit more powder or using a wet paint brush pushed the color around a bit and dried it again.  Finally I sprayed some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine over the top and set it aside to dry.

For my base, I die cut the plaid background and then adhered it to white cardstock that was cut 5 3/8 x 4 1/8" and then adhered that to the bright blue/green cardstock.  I cut the Season's Greetings from the same color as the base and the accompanying background to the word die in white and glued it on.  Finally I added all my pieces to the card and a few sequins!

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it and you'll come again soon for some more A Jillian Vance Design inspiration!
