Welcome back! It's the week of Halloween and I'm celebrating by making Halloween cards! Although we don't really celebrate Halloween any more, Halloween cards are among my favorite to make. I love the colors and how well they lend themselves to distressed looks. And this Vintage Frame is beautiful but also perfect for a Halloween card especially when cut from black cardstock.
I started this one by ink blending a panel of white using some purple and black Distress Oxides. Then I splattered water and all the same inks over the top of it. Then I just die cut my frame, webs and spider from black cardstock. I glued the webs onto the back of the frame and then added a piece of acetate to the back of the frame. Next I added foam tape to the back of the frame, scattered some sequins onto the inked panel and popped the frame with webs over the top.
Finally, I just added the spider and sentiment with foam tape and a few more sequins.
Such a quick and easy shaker!
