Hello and happy Wednesday! Rosemary here and did you see?! A Jillian Vance Design has released a collection of SLIMLINE DIES!! Yipee!! The dies are a great value, especially the four sets that include all kinds of extras! Just take a peek at the graphic below to see everything you will get with each set! Right now you can pre-order the dies and receive an introductory price! Talk about a win-win! For today's card I decided to use the Peace, Love & Rainbows Circle Window Cover Plate die set, as well as the Slimline Essentials Backdrop die set.
When I saw the icons in the Peace, Love & Rainbows Circle Window Cover Plate die set I just had to use it first! I mean couldn't we all use some peace, love and hugs right now? I remembered that somewhere in my patterned paper stash I had some rainbow themed papers and thankfully I found them! I die cut the peace symbol, heart and a circle (using the Polka Dot Circle Backdrop die set) from the striped patterned paper. I then cut additional images from plain white paper and stacked everything to create some dimension. I die cut black cardstock using the largest die from the Slimline Essentials Backdrop set and adhered it to my cardstock base using fun foam for dimension. I die cut the circle windows from white cardstock and then adhered the piece flush to the black panel. I stamped the word hugs from the Delightful Sentiments set in black ink and then adhered all the images to the card front. It wasn't until I went to take my photos of the card that I realized I had adhered the peace symbol upside down! So... I had to completely remake the card! Thankfully I still had enough of the patterned paper to recut everything! Live and learn, right? Can't wait to make more slimline cards with these fabulous die sets!
