Hello everyone! Well... July is just a couple of days away from being over! Crazy how fast time is flying by! Rosemary here with another slimline card. Seriously... I cannot stop making slimline cards now that A Jillian Vance Design has this amazing slimline die collection! My mind has been full of all kinds of ideas for creating cards with other dies from the AJVD collection. For this card I pulled out the Sea Shells & Mermaid Tail die collection as well as the Shell Yeah! stamp set to create a fun sea theme card.
A few months ago I created some some alcohol ink backgrounds. One was created using some pearl alcohol inks and that is the one I used for my card. I die cut the tail and shells from the paper and then used the smallest mistletoe die from the Merry Mistletoe die set to cut my kelp. I then went through my collection of 12x12 cardstock and found two pieces that worked really well with colors from the alcohol ink die cuts. I die cut the Peace, Love & Rainbows Slimline Circle Window cover plate die from a light blue cardstock. The Slimline Signature Polka Dot cover plate die was cut from a darker blue. I then used the same light blue cardstock to back the polka dot cover plate die and adhered them to a white cardstock base. I adhered all the die cuts to the circle window cover plate die with Just Glue It adhesive. I stamped the sentiment from Shell Yeah! on vellum using WOW Ebony embossing powder, trimmed it down to a strip and wrapped it around the top piece. I then adhered the piece to the card front using foam tape. I just love how fun and bright this card is! Going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes.

I knew it! This is so much fun Rosemary! Love the sea theme and the wonderful colors. The movement from the mermaid's tail and punny sentiment are terrific!
