Slimline Coffee Card

Hello!  Rosemary here today.  Following on the heels of last week's slimline card from me comes another slimline card.  This time it features coffee!  But before I get to the card I want to let you know that Jillian, the owner of A Jillian Vance Design, is turning 21 on June 14th and in honor of that big event AJVD is giving away a gift certificate for $21 to one lucky winner.   You can also get 21% off your order through June 14th! All the details are listed below.  To enter for a chance to win the gift certificate just enter through the Rafflecopter widget below.

So, when I set about making my card I did not know about the birthday celebration for Jillian otherwise I would have made a slimline birthday card!  But it is a coffee card... sorry Jillian!  I cut down my panel and then did some ink blending using distress oxides in Vintage Photo and Antique Linen.  Once I was done a used a stencil to create a woodgrain look on the portion inked with Vintage Photo to make it look like a table.  I then die cut all the different pieces of the coffee cup and the steam from white cardstock and colored everything with Copic markers.  I went with a red cup and saucer as I thought it would look nice with the distress oxide colors I used.   I determined where I would be placing the saucer to determine where the sentiment would go.  I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink.  I stamped twice to get a nice impression.  The sentiment made me think back to when I was a kid and a few times that I spent the lunch hour with my aunt and uncle at the Salvation Army church they attended.  The fellowship hall always smelled of strong brewed coffee!  Once I had the sentiment stamped I adhered the saucer, steam and little hearts with Just Glue It adhesive and the cup with foam tape.  The panel was then foam mounted to a dark red cardstock base.
