Happy Wednesday everyone! Rosemary here today with a get well card and I used lots and lots of A Jillian Vance Design dies for this one! With so AJVD offering so many great stand alone dies it is not hard to make a beautiful card!
The idea for this card came from a project I had seen another crafter make using a die similar to the A Jillian Vance Design Rustic Wood Slice die. Once I decided to use that die I had to figure out what else I would use. I have had the Vintage Frame Backdrop die for quite sometime and had never used it (hangs head in shame!) and decided to pair it up with the wood slice. I have a pad of paper that had a piece in it that looked like a slice of wood so I used that to die cut the center of my wood slice and then used the some kraft for the outer ring. The pieces were then adhered together with washi tape on the back. I pulled some other patterned papers from the pad to use to die cut some flowers (using the Wildflower die set that is on sale right now), leaves (using the Leaves & Petals die set) and the frame. Off white cardstock was die cut with the largest Stitched Dot Rectangle die and then I trimmed down the wood slice to fit inside the frame. A second frame was cut from scrap cardstock to make it more substantial and then adhered to the cardstock panel with foam tape. I die cut flowers from two different patterns and adhered them together along with flower centers. I adhered the flowers with a combination of Just Glue It adhesive and foam tape and the leaves with Just Glue It adhesive. The sentiment (from Delightful Sentiments) was stamped on a banner die cut with the banner die from the Instant Frame 2.0 die set, trimmed down and adhered with foam tape. The finished panel was then adhered to a kraft cardstock base. I finished by adding a dollop of Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal drops to the center of each flower. I love how this card turned out!
