you are a gift...

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Rosemary here with a birthday card!  I have been wanting to make a card with the new Make A Wish stamp set and today is the day!  I used a lot of different dies along with the stamp set to create my card.

I started by stamping the birthday present image on smooth Bristol cardstock with VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne ink.  I set that aside to dry and then set about picking patterned papers to use for my card.  Once I had picked my papers I colored the present using ZIG markers in a light blue and light green.  Once I was finished I trimmed out the present and then added a little bit of light gray shading to the insides of the ribbons.  I then die cut a circle from white cardstock with a Polka Dot Circle die and adhered the present with foam tape.  The light blue polka dot paper was die cut with a medium sized Stitched Dot rectangle die and the plaid paper with the largest rectangle backdrop die.  I used the fishtail banner die from the Instant Frame 2.0 die set to cut the light green banners (I cut twice and then adhered them together.  One of the dies from the Sentiment Strips 2.0 set was used to cut additional plaid paper, layered on the green banner and then adhered it behind the circle.   The rectangles were adhered to a white cardstock base and then I adhered the circle piece.  I finished by stamping the sentiment on vellum with watermark ink, heat embossing in white and then die cutting with a Stitched Dot Heart die.  The heart was adhered with rolled up glue dots placed behind the embossing.  I used the sketch from Fab Friday so I will be posting this there.   Also going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.
