Hello everyone! Rosemary here with one final Valentine. This time I used lots of patterned papers with several different A Jillian Vance Design dies and a beautiful sentiment from the Happy Hearts stamp set.
Originally when I started this card I was going to use the larger heart from the Happy Hearts stamp set, but I quickly determined once I die cut the heart that it didn't look right with the design I had in mind. So I decided to used the slightly smaller heart die and cut it from a fun valentine inspired patterned paper. I used one of the sentiment strip dies from the Sentiment Strip 2.0 die set to cut a strip of light pink and white paper and then trimmed it down to fit inside the panel die cut from off white cardstock. I then picked out a black and off white animal print paper and used the two leafy dies from the Spring Birdie set to cut the paper. Then I layered those two pieces behind the heart and adhered the heart along with the strip to my panel. I die cut some of the light pink and off white paper with the fishtail banner die from the Stitched Sentiment Quartet and then stamped the sentiment using Catherine Pooler Rose Petals ink. Isn't that sentiment so beautiful? I finished the card by die cutting some butterflies (also from Spring Birdie) from another coordinating paper and then adhering the sentiment banner. The colors I used for my card fit perfectly with the Paper Players challenge so I will be posting it there. My card also works perfectly for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge so will post it there, too.
