I am so excited to be sharing a project today using the new Spring Birdie Die Set! Here's how I was inspired:
I am in love with this adorable birdie! I am looking forward to using him on all kinds of cards with all kinds of themes. Today he's just sending a happy wish to a friend! I've used him along with the Cozy Cottage Bird House Die Set that he was made to coordinate with. Perfect, right?
I cut my birdhouse pieces from some woodgrain and bright pink paper. I knew I wanted to use lots of bright colors to go along with that pretty Doodlebug cloud paper! I decided to cut the tree limb, leaves, bird and butterfly that are included in the new set from Copic friendly paper and colored them in. It's a great way to add dimension rather than just using plain cardstock.
I love that all of the birdie pieces cut separately so you can position him however you'd like! I added all of my pieces with varying thicknesses of foam tape (as I always do...lol!)
I chose a sentiment from the new Hey Cupcake stamp set and embossed it in white on black cardstock. I love how the sentiment pops and is a contrast to the bright colors, yet somehow it doesn't overpower it.
